It is fitted with a highly visible yellow cover and a yellow 90 cm hose. The MTX-R is based on the MTX, a regulator that was developed in accordance with the United States Navy Experimental Dive Unit extreme cold water test. Innovations in design mean that the MTX-R regulator performs in almost freezing water at a depth of over 60 metres, something that very few other regulators on the consumer market can boast. With an innovative first stage design that helps to prevent ice build up around the diaphragm, the MTX-R is reliable, rugged and expedition ready. A first of its kind, over-moulded first-stage end cap and environmental diaphragm to prevent ice build-up that could cause a free flow in extreme circumstances. Forged 1st stage body gives maximum thermal performance. Ribbed diaphragm clamp on the 1st stage ensures improved heat exchange in cold water conditions. Angled HP ports allow for optimal hose routing and transmitter fitting. Parallel turret ports allow for improved hose orientation. Superb protection from impact damage on both the 1st and 2nd stage. Simple to use 2nd stage with no dive adjustment controls and a reduced chance of free flow. Double swivel hose for greater freedom of movement and comfort. The XTX Tungsten is built on the XTX200 platform but is protected with a hard, durable Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) finish. This “tough as nails” finish is better than traditional chrome plating. The coating is made of high quality grades of Titanium, Zirconium and Chromium. The result not only looks extremely attractive, but protects your investment from normal diving abuse. The XTX Tungsten is supplied complete with a 5th port. Features an innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE). This system gives the diver the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This gives the user a choice, wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and narrow exhaust tee for a smaller compact comfortable regulator. The Apeks ThermiQ Carbon Core sets new standards in base layer thermal protection. Comfort is guaranteed with the triple layer soft shell, combined with the technically advanced graphene lining to give the ultimate in warmth and flexibility. Triple layer soft shell fabric ensures the top keeps you warm in all environments. The ThermiQ Carbon Core can be worn on its own as a thermal rash guard in warm water or as an extra layer underneath a drysuit. Advanced lining is made from graphene wrapped fibres which acts as a superconductor, regulating skin temperature by transferring heat from warm spots to cold spots on the body. The XTX 200 is second only to the XTX Tungsten and quite rightly enjoys its position towards the top of the Apeks regulator range. The definitive blend of style and high performance, every detail on this product has been carefully designed to offer a regulator of the highest quality. Features an innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE). This system gives the diver the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This gives the user a choice, wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and narrow exhaust tee for a smaller compact comfortable regulator. The regulator is supplied with both sets of exhaust tees. An optional 5th port is available which features the additional bonus of an integrated heat exchanger (available on the Tungsten, XTX200 and XTX100 first stages). Can be converted from a right-handed hose configuration to a left-handed one. The process of changing the regulator to a left-handed configuration is both quick and simple. However this procedure must ONLY be performed by an APEKS Authorised Service Technician. Available in yoke or DIN configuration. Braided flexi-hoses are now standard on all models. These hoses are lighter weight, more flexible and more durable. Suitable for coldwater use (below 10 C / 50 F). Compatible with EAN40 out of the box.
