Description

Features

  • The Amron International Model 8111-02 One-Diver Air Control Surface Command Unit (SCU) is compact and easily portable, and ergonomically designed with the customer in mind.
  • This air control system provides everything needed to safely monitor and control a diving operation.
  • Ideal for the inland diver, but rugged enough for the offshore diver, the 8111-02 is a great Surface Command Unit for any commercial dive environment.
  • The 8111-02 is a self-contained high/low pressure air control and depth monitoring (pneumo) system with a one-diver communicator for surface supplied diving operations.
  • The included 2810E-03 AMCOM™ I One-Diver Communicator and is a full-featured one-diver communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and diver. The communicator can operate in both 4-wire (full duplex), or 2-wire modes. The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated using a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source.
  • The 8111-02 includes a heating cable for diving in air temperatures below 45 degrees. The standard plug connects to 120 VAC and is located on the front panel. For added safety, a GFCI adapter is included.

High Pressure Side

  • High pressure air inputs include two color-coded (red & blue) SCUBA bottle yokes with six-foot air hose whips.
  • Standard 3000 PSI maximum input when using SCUBA yokes.
  • Optional 4500 PSI maximum input when using 300 Bar DIN Adapters, P/N: SAA-5300.
  • Each of the two HP inputs has a 0-6000 PSI gauge to monitor input pressure, and a shut-off valve to switch from one high pressure air source to the other.
  • The added safety feature of check valves provides protection against back flow of air from a full tank into an empty tank when switching high pressure air tanks.
  • High pressure air is reduced to low pressure via a pressure reducing regulator and a pre-regulator, in-line, 50 micron filter.
  • Output pressure is monitored using a 0-600 PSI gauge.
  • A relief valve (factory set at 285 PSI) prevents over pressurization.
  • The 8111-02 includes an 18-foot heating cable for diving in air temperatures below 45 degrees. The heating cable is wrapped around the HP input and regulator section, behind the front panel. The standard plug connects to 120 VAC and is located on the front panel. For added safety, a GFCI adapter is included.

Low Pressure Side

  • The LP input with safety check valve has a #6 JIC fitting and is protected from over pressurization by an over-pressure relief valve set at 285 PSI.
  • The input check valve provides simple switching to back-up high pressure air in the event of low pressure air failure. The high pressure air supply can quickly and simply be turned on.
  • The diver air hose connection is an O2 fitting controlled by a quarter-turn ball valve. Note: The O2 fitting can be optionally converted to JIC upon request at the time of order.

Pneumo (Depth Monitoring) System

  • At the heart of the pneumo system is a 6-inch precision gauge with 0.25% of full scale accuracy and dual scale readings of 0-250 feet of seawater (FSW) / 0-76 meters of seawater (MSW). The gauge dial has a mirror band and clearly marked one-foot increments for fast, accurate readings.
  • The regulating needle valve (with KEL-F seat) controls air to the pneumo gauge and a chrome plated, O2 fitting for the pneumo hose connection.

Communications

  • The 8111-02 comes standard with a field-proven 2810E-03 AMCOM™ I One-Diver Communicator.
  • This is a full-featured communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and each diver.
  • The 2810E-03 communicator can be operated in either 2-Wire or Full Duplex (4-Wire) communication modes.
  • Audio input jacks on the front panel (2x RCA) are provided to connect external audio for diver entertainment (when using 4-wire, full-duplex mode comms).
  • A tape recording jack (RCA) is also included on the front panel.
  • The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated using a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source.
  • The battery life of a fully-charged 2810E-03 communicator is approximately 85 hours.
  • The communicator comes with Amron’s standard 2405-28 handheld, push-to-talk microphone.
  • Panel: Black powder coat over stainless steel with white silkscreen graphics.
