PADI Advanced Courses

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE

After your Open Water Certification, you have the opportunity to explore dive spots around the world, travelling with dive buddies to new adventures. There is also more you can do, by improving your scuba skills, doing another PADI dive course that will help build your confidence.

LEARNING POINTS

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course not about being “advanced”, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so once comfortable after your Open Water Certification, you can dive right in to your Advanced Open Water course. The course has a long list of scuba specialty dives to try which helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills. Boat diving, drift diving, wreck diving, sidemount diving and over a dozen of other specialty dives to choose from. There is no classroom sessions for these dives and you try out these under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

COURSE STRUCTURE

There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives to complete the Advanced Open Water Course.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

You can be an Adventure Diver till you complete the two required dives, and each of your adventure dive credits towards the required dives of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE

The PADI Rescue Diver course is seen by almost all scuba divers who completed it as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken.

The Rescue Diver course teaches you to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills with proper application of learnt principles through sound advice and direction by your PADI Instructors. While it is serious and deals with real life situations which can occur to anyone, anywhere, it can still be a lot of fun and an enjoyable experience.
